What a great Italian Restaurant, amazed at the taste of the food, had an entree smoked chicken with mushroom and cream was divine, then shared a pizza which had a thin crispy base, yummy.I shared a tiramisu wow, the food was just so good, oh yea we had a garlic pizza bread to start, nice.Love this place.

Love this place ❤ - gorgonzola fettuccine is the BEST - my all-time favorite restaurant especially after a busy day working - not inundated with people asking how your meal is, because they know it's great - lovely intimate space and contact with the people responsible for the place. Thanks all of you at Piccolo - great end to a busy weekend❤❤❤

The supposedly gluten free dish had a big chunk of normal pasta in it. When I showed the dish to the manager/chef (?) he barked "What do you want me to do" at me and went on to patronisingly tell me he read somewhere that gluten is only an issue for celiac sufferers if they eat a whole plate of it. Apparently they use the same kitchen equipment without cleaning so nothing is gluten free, regardless of what their menu says. He then slammed the door and left without any further comments. Avoid this place.

Great food. Fabulous ambience. This would be most definitely my 'go to' local if I lived in ChCh. Pizzas and pasta great,lots of taste. Tiramisu fantastic. Well done to a small and welcoming neighbourhood restaurant.

Expensive..$8 for corkage, small pizza (called "medium") minimal atmosphere...wont rush back.

Brilliant food and surroundings. Great service good menus and pricing. Limited wine list but it is by. Not ostentatious. Very simple surroundings and decor, fits perfectly with a suburban eatery. Pizzas and pasta. Both amazing choices.

Piccolo is wee gem! A small neighborhood restaurant where the food is great and so is the ambience. Great place for an intimate dinner for two or with a group of friends. We locals are really pleased it's on our doorstep!

This Ristorante is as good as the Italian food you would have in a typical Italian village.

Great atmosphere. Meals priced $20-$30. Fettuccine pasta with creamy mushroom sauce and ham was delicious. The chef special venison ragu was a dense stringy venison stew on fettuccine which wasn't to my taste. Service was reasonable and cleanliness of cutlery needs some attention. We would return again but I think pass on the ragu.

We went after reading great reviews about you restaurant, my partner and I went to dine on Thursday night 9/7/20. When we got there and sat down they asked us what we wanted to eat. We had very little time to settle in as the waitress get wanting our order. We then ordered our foo and when we got we were both very disappointed. The food that I got was not traditional Italian and there was very little food on the plate. I looked for the smoked chicken in the ravioli and could not identify any. The bowl was quarter full with Ravioli chicken with mushroom sauce. My partner had spaghetti with smoked chicken and ...wait for it we could not find the chicken. Will not go there again.

Simple Italian done really well. Fresh, chewy pizza dough. Tasty pasta. Drinkable Chianti. Small. Authentic feel. Very happy, will be back!

I really like this intimate and cozy Italian restaurant. Food is very authentic Italian style, with delicious and tasty olive oil felt like in Italy.

Very ordinary. Tomato sauce was thick and strong. Didn’t have any smoothness or startling flavour. Smoked chicken fettuccine had about 30g of chicken on top. Sauce was thin and VERY mild. Would DEFINATELY not go there again.

The food is beautiful, and the service is friendly and warm. The spicy pasta dish really set it off on a winter's night, and the pizza had an amazing crust with the right balance of texture and crispness.The tiramisu was spot on, rich yet not overly so and so moreish.🤤Will be back!

Absolutely amazing. Loved everything. Highly recommend the Mushroom Ravioli. Finish with a Drambui Affogato. Service is excellent as well.
